JoinIt - Cheap alternative AMS with lots of limitations but might be what you're looking for

JoinIt is a very inexpensive (basic) AMS focusing for just managing the simple pieces of your membership for your association. It's a little slow in terms of loading/ speed of their backend dashboard, but the front-end interface is very very easy to learn and members will be able to update basic information, address, city state, etc.
Pricing https://www.joinit.org/pricing starts at $29 per month for 1 admin and can go down to $18 per month (20% nonprofit discount + 20% annual discount). Each admin is $10 (discounted to $8 for nonprofits) per month. There isn't much to this program. No events or forms. No social community. There are membership discount codes options, but not much else.
You can sync with MailChimp, Constant Contact, SurveyMonkey and Eventbrite to help manage membership communications, automations, and any events you do.
Only connects with Stripe (as a payment processor) which isn't too bad since Stripe offers nonprofit (lower rate) processing fees, but not everyone uses Stripe.
If you're just looking for basics. This is the way to go.
