Overall, Nimble AMS and NimbleUser are great to work with. The system is built on top of Salesforce so there are a lot of 3rd party apps available in that work with the platform, and it's very easy to find developers that can help you. It's easy to use and training our staff was not an issue. NimbleUsers customer service department is execellent and very responsiveness.

My only reservation is that it seems that Nimble's work load has not been able to keep up with their growth. This has led to several delays on some additional projects once we went live.

Overall, I would recommend the product because it's lightyears ahead of our previous product, and it seems that Nimble is investing in additional resources to keep up with the demand.

Before I started to use Nimble AMS, I was heavily involved from a technical point of view with 2 other AMSs. By far Nimble AMS is the best. Here are my pros and cons:

Pros

1. The system is alway up and fast. Because it's based on Salesforce and Salesforce is a mega-product supporting large companies all over the world, you have excellent connectivity and infrastructure and we have never experienced any down time.

2. Nimble support team is awesome. I have never worked with a more talented and responsive team and I've been doing I.T. for many years. We get a fast turnaround 90% of the time.

3. Because it's Salesforce, scheduling backups is a breeze. And you don't have to think much about it.

4. It's possible to import data and basic contacts are very simple to do.

5. There is a Salesforce mobile app that requires practically nothing to setup and maintain.

6. Nimble folks are very responsive to improving their product, new releases come out automatically 3 times a year along with Salesforce's

7. Basic reporting is easy, but see 'cons' about more complex reporting.

10. Adding custom fields and modifying screens is also easy.

11. Salesforce has a very tight security model,

12. You can create workflows and automations fairly easy.

Cons:

1. It is a little costly compared to others.

2. The reporting tool is not as robust as I wish. When I think report, I think more in terms of Crystal reporting with formating abilities - but this is more like a query result. But I suspect any cloud based AMS would be the same. Also there are some limitations to the number of objects (tables) you can join and sometimes we have to create 2 or 3 reports and manipulate the data outside of Salesforce to get our end result. I'm surprises Salesforce does not have a better out-of-box solution. But there are tons of app add-ins that work better for additional costs.

3. Because Nimble is a breed of it's own, classes for Nimble specific admin skills did not exist when we went live, however Nimble does have 2 levels of admin training now. If you go to Salesforce classes, they include objects or functions that either may not be included in your Nimble license or not applicable to Associations.

4. One thing that you may wish to consider is that Nimble has chosen to use Salesforce's 'person-accounts' data model. Nimble does not use the Contact object that is most common for many 3rd party integrators  - so if you require integrations with your AMS, you may want to make sure that your vendor understands the Nimble's person-accounts.

Second time for me to do a transition from an old clunky AMS to the dynamic Salesforce Platform with NimbleUSer and the results are the same. Powerful, flexible and easy to use for both staff and our constituents. 

With all the changes over the last 18 months in the AMS world, there is one constant and that is the platform you use. Salesforce is by far the best platform to run your association. 

Next is the team that backs the software and no one comes close to the quality, knowledge, and experience of both software and association management experience as the team at NimbleUser. 

You become part of the family and that family cares about you, your association and your constituents.

Nimble is my go-to when working with young, upstart groups that need an AMS. From the integrations with outlook & gmail to mailchimp, it's a can't miss for the budget. Eventually, you'll want to grow into something more robust, but for young co's that don't have a dedicated database teammember it's the best place to start.

The product overall is good and suits our need since we have customization on membership and accounting. However, it's using person account,  which is main obstacle for us to integrate with other apps on SF.  

The transition between implantation team and support team is a little lacking .  In quite a few cases , we the client has to update the support team what's going on and how the system was set up in order for them to understand the provide the support.  Documentations are also not quite complete.

When our organization selected Nimble as the AMS, they were hoping to also use the Salesforce Enterprise platform as a CRM, fundraising and development tool, and business operations where they can track leads and opportunities. However, Nimble had limitations due the person account model. Currently, we only using Nimble as the AMS and other programs in the organization are forced to use excel and access to manage functions that could be handled by Salesforce. Customizing Nimble or our Salesforce environment has been difficult because the system is locked down. Also, they charge clients for every small enhancement that should really be part of the product development.

I've had nothing but great experiences with NimbleUser AMS. Not only is the out-of-box product great, but our organization has added so many different customizations that they have accommodated in developing for us, it's been fantastic! NimbleAMS guided our transformation in 4 months from RFP to go-live from a clunky "legacy" AMS to NimbleAMS; and it's built on Salesforce. Implementation was smooth and their team was knowledgeable and used best practices to manage our project. No need to worry about purchasing upgrades or preparing for an upgrade. Upgrades seamlessly come from Salesforce through Nimble and there are no upgrade charges or purchases. Data is not effected in upgrades and there is no cleaning up after an upgrade. There are never any data problems or issues with data--you can trust that the data you are entering is the data you are extracting. With NimbleAMS we can enter and edit all our member data quickly and efficiently. For example, you can enter one instance of an address and copy it to two other address fields using a button. Editing individual fields is as simple as double clicking into a pencil image or opening the whole detail page and editing multiple fields in the same screen--one click to save all. Reporting and creating company wide dashboards can be accomplished by everyone in the office by dragging and dropping fields into a report. Admins can easily add fields to the menu if needed. Dashboards and reports refresh in real time. With a new NimbleAMS feature you can easily create a template with your logo and combine reports from different objects into a professionally looking report to be emailed to your VIPs. Integration with other vendors is important to us and we have successfully integrated with several using the NimbleAMS platform. We are going on 4 years and we still are 100% happy with our choice and the user experience it gives to all our team members.

LeadingAge has been using Nimble AMS since June of 2013 and both Salesforce and Nimble User have helped the organization improve so many of it's critical business processes. The team at Nimble User has taken the time to get to know LeadingAge and truly understands our unique challenges with maintaining member data. And as a result of that great relationship with Nimble User, we have been able to leverage Nimble AMS both at the national and state levels. I would recommend to associations looking to replace their current membership database that they take the time to get to know Nimble AMS.

We made the decision to switch our AMS late spring in 2013. We began our search and NimbleUser quickly rose to the top of our short list. After a great demo and sales presentation, we began our implementation in the summer of 2013. We decided to phase in our implementation and due to NimbleUser's great team and dedication, our initial launch happened on Oct 1st 2013, just about 3 months after we started. Our members and staff love the new AMS and we have had a nothing but great feedback from everyone who uses it. NimbleUser's team is truly dedicated to making their customers succeed and does what it takes to deliver. We have been extremely happy with our decision to go with NimbleUser and if I had to do it all over again, would choose them with no hesitation.
