Euclid Technology

We have used Euclid Clear Vantage for over 4 years now. It is a solid system for mid-size or larger organizations and allows for complexities. We are a national organization with 20 chapters across the country and a pretty robust annual conference with expo hall, as well as education courses every month. We use CVO for our member database, have partitioned chapter databases, all our payment processing, our website is hosted on their platform, we take registrations for all events through CVO, etc. I will say, the accounting side is pretty convoluted. Even our CPA said CVO is the most confusing system she has seen. We had great customer service through the buildout and the first year or so. After we transitioned from being new, customer service can be slow and we sometimes have to follow-up multiple times to get an answer. However, I like that the customer service is an actual person, not Ai. I like that they roll out any new developments for all users to use (you don't have to pay for upgrades). The system can do almost anything you need, although customizations can be costly. Always ask for an estimate of hours. Ultimately, if it were not for the accounting issues, we would likely would stay with CVO.

CVO has been great for us - no regrets in moving to their system. However, I wish we had requested more training as we are now paying for support for many things we could probably do for ourselves. I also recommend  you request every report you may ever need during implementation/conversion so you aren't trying to figure out their system of tables when in a hurry for data.

The State Bar of Nevada began using Euclid & CV for our membership database in November 2018. It is now April 2019 and we could not have asked for better software or support. Euclid staff was under a tight time frame for our first data conversion and met every deadline. As we move forward adding departments, all deadlines have been met. Their team/staff have been very thorough and they know the software inside and out. They listen to our needs, make appropriate changes and often offer a better solution. Additionally, they don't stop at 'good enough'. Euclid staff are constantly offering to make any changes we would like to help the system become even more user friendly and often doing so while we are on a go-to meeting. I can't tell you how many times they made changes and said, "refresh your browser" and the changes were immediate. I will try to remember to update my review in late 2019.

We are 8 years into using ClearVantage by Euclid and I still believe we made the right decision.

Our association is pretty complex in terms of membership and certification processes, and Euclid has more than met the challenge. Euclid was also the only company that could immediately take in and process our incoming exam results (from Pearson VUE). They continue to roll out new tools and functions that we are often more than happy to use. I look forward to whatever comes next.

Euclid support has been friendly and responsive to all questions and issues. Their develoment team has been great to work with when adding customized functionality within ClearVantage and the connected CMS.

There are a lot of choices out there for an AMS. I'm satisfied that we went with Euclid ClearVantage.

Our organization has worked with ClearVantage for a decade. The tool does most of what we need. The partnership with Euclid is the highlight of the engagement (even over the quality of the tool). We made poor business decisions, both at implementation and repeatedly over time; this has probably colored our view of what success with the tool might look like. We should have modified our business practices to industry standards from the start--this would likely have resulted in more success with the AMS. At the same time, we are thriving with the tool in place.

For nearly two decades, Euclid Technologies has provided the software platform, technical services, and all around IT expertise that underlies our worldwide Membership Program.  Our experience with Euclid and its ClearVantage platform throughout these years has been nothing less than tremendous, and I consider them the leaders in their market. Importantly, when we need something specifically tailored to our own unique membership needs, Euclid's staff works closely with us and makes any and all adjustments in a professional and timely manner.  They are great at what they do and they provide top-of-the-line customer service.  I believe if it wasn't for Euclid, we wouldn't have grown our membership organization to the 90,000+ members we have today. Bottom line, we know we can count on them 24/7 -- and in the world of membership management that's a hard-to-beat competitive advantage.

We are a trade association, and we track companies primarily, but also track individuals. We have 1800 companies in membership and approximately 50K people attached to them. We use CV Connect for our website and CMS now for online registration, speaker management, awards, and exhibits, membership directories as well as all our member-only material. We do all our own website development that isn't CV driven so it's been fun building out the nice new site. And it works! And online registrations are way up! CV Online has a great self service member dashboard, where we now push out dues invoices, surveys, registration receipts and purchase history, CE hours, class evaluations, transcripts and certificates. We are still settling into our new CV installation, but so far, so good! The office as a whole thinks we made a good choice, and the installation was not the heinous crime scene that our last AMS install was. There were very few surprises, and the company as a whole has been very responsive to our needs and issues. Seriously, this was like night and day compared to the last AMS (cough Personify cough) installation. Staff are using the software more often and more easily than the last one, and it's been flexible to change and configure as needs arise. Having said that, it is still very complex and more than a little bit quirky but not enough to be a show stopper. Euclid staff is well aware of the quirks and have been very up front about it. Admittedly, some of the quirkiness may lie in, um, the user area. Change is hard. One of the really great things about this new AMS is that it gets upgraded regularly in the background, both CRM and CMS. We've already been through one since go-live, and it was nearly seamless. Euclid's installation team was top-notch.

SO: 18 months into it, we are still pretty happy with CV. They are doing their behind the scenes upgrades almost as often as they promised, and improvements we requested have been showing up.  One thing that has been bothering me greatly:  we made it a point in our RFP and discussions to put mobile up front, just like every other association in the universe.  For the most part, the mobile pieces have all been working, except.... when people register online and get the automated email back for their confirmation, it is unreadable on an iPhone.  Can't speak to Android, but iPhone users are out of luck if they need to use that confirmation for anything.  I was told that the confirmation was not spec'd to be mobile friendly.  In this day and age, I think that is pretty short-sighted for it to be created any other way.   I made a ticket for it, but was told that it would have to be billable. 

After implementing and using four different AMS packages over several years, it's no surprise that there is no perfect package. All of tips and recommendations suggest to consider the organization's needs carefully. The decision to select Euclid was based on the key requirements for an AMS that could handle accreditation and certification program management. Not surprisingly, significant customization was done. What was surprising was that set-up is not intuitive, documentation has limited value and staff turnover (over the past few years) has negatively impacted the quality of customer service. 

My organization uses ClearVantage organization inventory functionality to collect and track member equipment data for certification and dues calculation purposes. This includes tracking audit due dates and completion for hundreds of member companies. We have really enjoyed the flexibility of this system, and the experience we've had with the company support staff. Furthermore, this is our second year using the system and it has helped us streamline our internal processes and centralize membership data for the staff. The biggest challenge with this system is that it intimidated some of the staff during training. It looks complicated at first, but they relaxed eventually after they started using it because the system is intuitive.

After an exhaustive search to replace our AMS system, we selected ClearVantage by Euclid. From that point to this day, we realize it was a very good decision. Our association is very complex in many ways, and ClearVantage was customized to accommodate everything from a complicated dues structure and voluminous member and internal entity records, to a number of unique website functions that require an interface with the AMS. Using ClearVantage permits us to give members direct interaction with the system for functions like paying dues, registering for meetings and programs, joining committees and sections and maintaining their own member records. A number of our members prefer this method and it has saved staff hours for what used to be manual tasks. A strong point for Euclid is their efficient and responsive staff. When we announced our projected launch date at the beginning of the project, a number of people we know in the business that went through an AMS change said to add anywhere from six to eight months to that date. It was a surprise to many of those people when we went live within days of the projected date. As we update the system over time we continue to find the staff to be very responsive and they are always close at meeting targeted deadlines.

We changed to Clearvantage by Euclid after 20 years with an outdated product. The transition was smooth without any major issues. Any concern and worry we had with transitioning, evaporated with the process that was completed. We have been able to customize the system for many of our more complex processes including our dues structure. As we come across issues we are able to work with Euclid to correct. We are currently working on a much needed website redesign in CV Connect CMS to include relevant tools that we need to transition including an ethics opinion search, member to member search, and lawyers directory. We are also looking to add an online lawyer referral system. CV provides us with the tools we need to manage our yearly dues invoicing, plan and execute our meetings, track or member changes, and provide reports to staff.

been just under two years with CV and we are still working out quite a few links. I think this AMS is still worth the money (not cheap) but ask me again in another year. It's not that logical and we have needed to add quite a few business requirements to make things work the way we want them to. Out-of-the-box works for few orgs.

We are in the process of upgrading to latest version. Because of that, this review is a work in progress. With Euclid hosting ClearVantage, we can strengthen our PCI compliance. Euclid support analysts are very responsive timewise. They are also communicative so that customer service expectations can be managed with no surprises.

This AMS has been half good and half bad. The reliability of the reports has been a HUGE issue for us. You just can't trust the info it's giving you.

Our company has been using ClearVantage as its AMS for the past five years. With an ever-growing membership, we have found ourselves increasingly handicapped by our AMS technology of choice. While no longer the best fit for our organization, ClearVantage could be a cost-effective solution for those with elementary needs. Euclid has made the effort to provide modules that associations might require. Some features, however, are best left to existing experts. Taking email as an example, Euclid has built an Outlook Integration Module enabling users to access their Outlook directly from ClearVantage. It is a clunky solution though and would work better in the inverse - that is, accessing contacts in ClearVantage via Outlook. Our struggles are greatest with reporting capabilities. Reporting is a key driver of business intelligence and ClearVantage makes it very difficult to work with our member data. Starting with the reporting interface, it is designed for users who understand database design from the back-end, not for everyday users. Furthermore, one would expect that if a data point exists you could pull it into a report. There are instances where certain data points can not be added to reports - too bad. On the plus side, we have been able to customize ClearVantage in areas where the default solution could not meet our needs. While this has come at an added cost, this level of flexibility is appreciated.

I'm the new ED at a small association that has been using CV for ages. When I came onboard, we were running a very old version of the software, and had pieced together a kluge of different outside software tools in order to keep our website running, and serve our various other association management needs. At the time, our IT costs seemed exorbitant so I began searching for an option to upgrade our AMS while reducing the number of different vendors we were dependent upon. After a quite comprehensive search, we wound up right back at Euclid's CV. We made the time investment to upgrade to their newest offering, rebuilt our website on their content management system (with really great support from their team), and found that they already had most everything we were needing additional vendors for (job board, product sales, file distribution, surveying tools). We're still learning some of the bells and whistles, but are optimistic that we'll be able to do our expo hall floor sales, e-mail marketing, etc... all within CV in the not too distant future. In short, we're saving money and gaining capability by reducing our number of IT vendors and really embracing everything CV can do.

Although CV has advantages over the older system I worked with before, it is not "easy" to use/learn and my co-workers find it even more difficult to use so the work-arounds and other systems have perpetuated. It also feels, to some degree, that every time a question is asked, we are looking at more "hours." Could be that the design and implementation phase did not do its job, but it's also frustrating. Their entire customer service experience--with action items--is terrible. I don't even feel like we have an account rep anymore and anytime I have a question--not even technical--I have to login to their website and fill in their form.

ClearVantage is highly configurable and feature rich with a comparably lower price than many other similar systems. ClearVantage "ships" with many extra features that others do not have like a report writer and email tool. Their CV web lends well to a seamless single sign on to extend your AMS features to your website.

Working with our new AMS is like a breath of fresh air. It is not perfect, and neither are we. The advanced technology it provides our organizations exceeds in most areas in comparison to our prevous vendor.

We've been using the ClearVantage AMS for well over a decade. We're currently on Version 7 and couldn't be happier. We use it for all of our membership management functions and it's the centerpiece of our organization. All of our forms (web applications, profile updates, contact us, etc.) interact seamlessly with ClearVantage, making reporting and tracking our membership extremely easy. We also conduct regular surveys of our membership, and the integrated survey tool has been essential to our success. It's simple to use, has robust functionality, and the survey data is instantly accessible in a ready-to-consume format. I don't think there's anything an AMS needs that ClearVantage doesn't have.
